Ice Cream, Frozen Yogurt and Product Review - EasyCanvasPrints.com

As you know, this has been my summer of homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt. So when Brendan of EasyCanvasPrints.com contacted me about reviewing a canvas print in exchange for a canvas made from one of my photos, I chose the photo from my July 15 post about Strawberry Frozen Yogurt. Looking at that photo can cool me off on the hottest day!

The process is so easy, even I could do it! Just go to EasyCanvasPrints.com and follow the steps. When you upload your photo, it tells you if the image has the right resolution for a canvas print. They have two thicknesses: 0.75-inch Standard Wrap and the 1.5-inch Gallery Wrap. I chose the Gallery Wrap on my 8-inch square canvas so that it can sit on a shelf of the bookcase in my office. I chose black edges, but you can get any color or even have the image wrap around.

All I ever take pictures of is food (What else is there?), but I'm thinking photos of children and special occasions like weddings would make wonderful family gifts. Anyway, I thought it was something you might be interested in, so there you have it!

As we go into the three-day holiday weekend, the "farewell to summer" weekend, now is the time to break out the ice cream maker. Here are some delicious possibilities: Butter Pecan Ice Cream, Fudge Ripple Ice Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream, Chocolate Frozen Yogurt and, of course, Strawberry Frozen Yogurt.

One good churn deserves another. Glad you reprised the frozen yogurt pix. And what a super connection with the print market. Yes, you should take pictures of...hmm, not sure. Your choices of subjects sounds kind of like mixed elements to me. You do formal stuff really well – still lives? Weddings and food love to pose. But I've never seen what you do with disorderly stuff, i.e. uncooperative kids and people caught in the messiness of living. Or would you seek out those formal moments of poetry in all lives? Whichever you choose, I'm sure you will impart excellence to the results.

I do look for the poetry. I unconsciously "edit" everywhere I go - mentally deleting power lines from otherwise beautiful views, that sort of thing. I should print or publish a shot of me cooking when I'm tired - looking disheveled, covered in flour, counters filled with what would appear to be every dish, pot, pan and utensil in the house! My dear husband laughs and says, You're a black tornado today, aren't you?!"

How fun! By the way, I thought that was a stunning photo of the strawberry frozen yogurt when you first posted it. Thanks for the tip on the canvas print. I would indeed like to see Big Ben sitting on my bookshelf. Thanks for thinking of me and posting this info.

You are indeed welcome! And thank you so much! If I ever get around to photographing anything besides food, I will definitely do the canvas print thing, If I get an outstanding shot.

I uploaded the Big Ben photo to their site and found the whole process very easy, as you had said. I didn't buy right now, but this will definitely be on my Christmas list. What a fun gift idea!
