Recipes for November and Beyond

Comfort Food Recipes for November and Beyond / www.delightfulrepast.com

It was bound to happen eventually. For the first time in 8 years and 9 months of blogging, I got sick at a time I didn’t have a new post ready to go.

So I’m popping in, between coughs, to refer you to recipes from the first week of November for the past 8 years, starting with last year.

These are comfort food recipes for the cold months ahead. So Pin and share your favorites. And stay well!

Hope your November is off to a better start than mine! But I'm sure I'll be back in the kitchen soon. Happy November!

Sorry to hear you are sick. I had not realized how accustomed to your weekly email I had become. When I saw the slightly different title, I knew something was up. Thank you for your recipes and fun blog.

What a line up of delectables! So sorry to hear you succumbed to whatever crud you contracted. Wishing you warm homemade chicken soup and throat coat teas. With what you gave us you have the entire month to get better! If I lived close I'd bring you some of your own healing dishes!

I especially like that beautiful cheesecake and I'm always looking for new gravy recipes. Thank you for sharing, and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party. Hope you feel better soon Jean! Good to get it over with before the holidays. Now you don't have to get sick again all season! I just remembered your pumpkin custards. Gonna have to make those soon. They look delish!

I have just come to your blog, Jean, as you have left a comment on my own. I had no idea you were a cookery writer. I sometimes put recipes on my own blog and of course, make all my own food from scratch. Today it was porridge for breakfast (actually made by husband) and then cauliflower, courgette and Stilton soup for lunch, and a spatchcock poussin with small roasties, carrots & turnips mashed, stuffing, cabbage (with nutmeg, of course!) and gravy for supper. However, the spatchcock poussin was a tiny birdie and really more skin and bone than meat, so that is something we won't bother with again!
You have been blogging far longer than I have, I've only been doing it for a couple of years.
Hope you will feel better soon - coughs are awful.
